Call It Courage
Maftu was the son of the Great Chief of Hikueru, a race of Polynesians that workshipped courage. Yet Maftu was afraid of the sea, mostly because his mother had died there. He was taunted for years until he decided to take matters into his own hands. He took his canoe, his dog, and pet albatross and set out to conquer his fear. He had many adventures, including time on a deserted island. When he finally went home, he was a changed person.
