Chato’s Kitchen

Chato, the cool cat from East Los Angeles decides to invite his neighbors ratoncitos, or little mice, to a dinner party. He prepares Mexican fare—fajitas, frijoles, and salsa. The mice decide to invite a friend too, a dachshund named Chorizo. Sprinkled with Spanish words, the book celebrates life in the barrio.
