Crispin: The Cross of Lead

The first book in a trilogy, it describes the adventures of 13-year-old Crispin, which took place in 14th century England. Forced to flee after being accused of theft, he carries his cross of lead, given to him by his only friend, Father Quinel. On his travels, he meets Bear, and together, they set out to learn more about Crispin's true identity.
