Kira-Kira

Katie Takeshima's sister, Lynn, has a wonderful way of looking at the world. Everything is kira-kira: bright, glittery, and shiny. When the family moves from the Japanese community in Iowa to the Deep South, it is Lynn who helps them adjust. But when Lynn becomes very sick, it's Katie who steps up to remind everyone that kira-kira is still in their future.
