RIF Author Interview with Dr. Courtney Davis
Join us for an engaging conversation brilliantly led by Makayla Harris, a college student and resident of Anacostia, and Dr. Courtney Davis author of A is for Anacostia.
A is for Anacostia is a fun, colorful alphabet book for children of all ages. The story highlights the children and activities that take place in the Anacostia neighborhood, a vibrant community located in the southeastern quadrant of Washington, D.C.
Dr. Davis has been a practitioner and advocate for children with disabilities and their families for over 15 years. She has a passion for working with students in urban areas to unleash their potential to learn and become change-agents in their own community. These experiences inspired her to create books to encourage children to read.
