Orcas are whales. They are not fish. They are mammals. They breathe air.

Orcas swim fast and far. They go hundreds of miles a day. They look for food. They work together. They help each other.

Orcas like to play. They jump. They spin in the air. They make a big splash.

Orcas play with their food. They grab seals. They toss them in the air. They toss them to each other. They let the young orcas get the seals. Then they eat the seals. This is how young orcas learn to hunt.

Every pod has a leader. The leader is a female. She is at least 45 years old. Orcas live between 60–80 years. Some can live to be 100.
