Terra McCrae-Greene
Middle School English Second Language Educator
Terra McCrae-Greene initially taught middle school Spanish from 2015-2020 in Maryland public schools, where she also worked as a homeschool educator for grades 6-12 for the Office of Home and Hospital Teaching. Prior to being in the classroom, she was a Community Ambassador for Spanish-speaking students, working with Pupil Personnel Workers to promote school attendance and academic achievement. An avid reader and creative writer, she is committed to K-12 literacy, currently teaches Middle School English Second Language Educator within the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), and serves as an adjunct professor of Family Literacy ESOL at a local community college.
Terra has a passion for learning and teaching languages and is an EdTech aficionado. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems and Workforce Development at Mississippi State University to further investigate the correlation between literacy, educational technologies, and employment for English Learners.
